How to start your lessons
Lesson per month breakdown 2023-2024
Ontario School Year Calendar 2023-2024
The academic year will run from after Labour Day weekend to the end of June and is broken into three semesters for the academic year:
1. First Semester (September- January)
2. Second Semester (February - June)
3. Third Semester ( July-August)
The third semester/summer semester schedule is flexible; you can choose from 4 lessons, 6lessons, or 8 lessons. Students who wish to reserve their spot for the next school year need to take minimum of six lessons during the third semester/summer semester. Students are welcome at any time of the year.
There will be no lesson on statutory holidays and during school break
• Labour Day ; September 4, 2023
• Thanksgiving Day ; October 9, 2023
• Winter Break ; December 25, 2023 to Jan 5, 2024
• Family Day ; February 20, 2023
• March Break ; March 11 to 15, 2024
• Good Friday ; March 29, 2024
• Easter Monday ; April 1, 2024
• Victoria Day ; May 20, 2024

Registration process
Step 1 : Meet and Greet Interview with mini-trial lesson
Before you start your lessons, we will have a meet-and-greet interview to see each other. It will take approximately half an hour. I consider this interview an important first step to getting to know each other better and making it possible to plan your future lessons in the most productive way possible. We will discuss all the details about your lessons, goals, dreams, needs, and so on. You will have a mini-trial lesson to experience what your future lessons will be like.

Step 2 : Registration
After your initial meeting, you will receive an email from the academy. If you decide to start your lessons, you can register yourself online. https://forms.gle/jFAB8nHYVH52384o6 Or you can simply reply to the email to process your registration.
Step 3 :Contract
You will receive your registration confirmation and an invoice for the deposit to book your lesson day and time.
Prospective students and/or their parents must sign the contract that you received at your interview along with the studio policy. Please submit it along with a non-refundable deposit before starting lessons at MDA Piano Academy.
Please be advised that your lesson day and time spot will be secured, and you are able to start your lessons only after signing the contract accompanied by a non-refundable deposit. This process keeps our administration simple so that we can focus and start productive lessons!
