Chapter I: Rediscovering Who We Are as Pianists

Learning our habits, those we do unconsciously, is always the hardest.

Let’s start by “un doing” the things we think we have to do.

I discovered that the reason I do them is deeply rooted in my feelings

.

Find it.

Observe it.

Analyze it.

And leave it. Put it down.

Not easy at all.

Don’t force it.

Slowly and gently.

And try again.

Hands and fingers are what we use to play the piano,

but never forget that they are connected to the body.

Do you like to hear stories or embark on a journey with your friends?

I love having travel companions as much as travelling solo.

This might be a typical duality of pianists,

a soloist and a collaborative pianist.

Here is my journey toward metamorphosis.

Let the story begin.
